Back story: Born in New Bottsford in 2087, Ian grew up in a family made a living by growing peppers, shalots, and sunflowers. Growing up, he worked everyday combing through the plot for weeds to remove and would spend weekends in the market helping out his father Stephen, his mother Christine, and his older sister Keri. Ian usually helped bring in the baskets of shalots and peppers while Keri brought in the bags of dried sunflower seeds. The two would most often tend their spot in the market as Stephen and Christine would trade some of their goods for other things; mostly other vegetables, eggs, and grains. This lifestyle for the Danver Family was giving them a somewhat stable lifestyle in an unstable world.
When not taking care of the crops and the family's livelihood, Ian would go find old books to read and page through. This gave him a realization that there are other things vastly far away from these ripped-apart remnants of society. By the age of 12, he was sneeking outside of New Bottsford to explore around him. Despite having little aim, Ian carried a pistol with him that he stole from a security station when outside of New Bottsford along with a knife. Ian never needed to use them, he was quick to learn with hiding and keeping a strong sense of awareness. The small weapons he carried were a last resort. But the days of roaming around unannounced soon came to an end.
After the May 20th Bombing, Stephen Danver was needed to join with security forces to help with the rising number of attacks near the boundaries of New Bottsford. Ian had to spend even more time with taking care of the crops and managing the trading. It got even worse in 2102 after Keri was injured and left unable to walk on her own when a man shot her for refusing to do an unfair trade. The shooter was an outsider that wanted to give a corpse of a cat for a basket of peppers. Security forces shot the man, was tried and executed soon afterwards.
With Stephen working patrols more than farming, Keri left to walk with crutch and a crippled leg, Ian had become the primary worker for growing crops and trading in the market as Christine gave birth to another child, a girl named Cassandra on September 7th 2103. There was a sense of endurance in the Danver Family at this time, especially with a third child in the household. Yet this would not hold forever.
On the night of Friday June 8th 2114, during a full-scale alert from security forces from a checkpoint breach by a members of Bandits of the Hood, Christine was left alone as Ian joined his father in defending the town as Keri locked herself in a closet with Cassandra for protection. All that was heard in the house by Keri and Cassandra was a single gunshot and a collapse to the floor. Many say that Christine committed suicide, but the Danver family refused to believe such a thing and Ian set out to find the truth and whoever was behind it: albeit someone from the Bandits of the Hood that snuck though or even one of New Bottsford's own people. Ian has the wits and ways with people along side with the same pistol by his side.
